What is the definition of the word "Integrity" - Webster's dictionary defines the word as: "Firm adherence to a code of established morals or artistic values". The word integrity is also defined as "quality or the state of being complete or undivided".
I learned a lesson over this weekend, what the difference between a "Prince Charming" and what makes a "Man of Integrity". I can count on both hands, a list of men that are some of the most honorable men/men of integrity that I have ever known. Naming those names would probably embarrass some of them but should anyone of those mentioned in this post(i.e., my father, my brother, both of my maternal uncles, my Dad's best friend and several of my pastors).
There are so many people in this world that don't understand the meaning of the word - Integrity. In this day and age, where there are so many in's/out's and loopholes that they will do anything, and I mean anything, to avoid their responsibilities. These guys are the "Prince Charmings" of this world. They are always looking for a way out, and then expect you to fall at their feet, thankful for the meager crumbs they throw your way. I would for one - rather live the rest of my life without a husband and make do for myself and my child than to be duped again by a deceitful tongue. I do not put my trust in man, but in God - because He supplies all my needs.
But lets get back to the subject at hand. Men of integrity are men of God, they are men of prayer, and they are men with families who understood the responsibilities of taking on a family. These men I have the utmost respect for and I sincerely wish that there were more men (of this caliber)in this world.
So are you a "Prince Charming" of a "Man of Integrity"? To the men mentioned above, thank you for being these godly, hard working and loving men of integrity that this planet is in so desperate need of.
